Catch 27 Announces Expanded Seating, New Summer Menu + More

ST. AUGUSTINE, Florida (June 5, 2025) – For 12 years, Catch 27 has been the place for fresh and thoughtful boat-to-table dishes in downtown St. Augustine. Housed in a historic home at 40 Charlotte Street, it has just undergone a long-awaited renovation that has more than doubled the seating capacity and refreshed the existing spaces. These exciting upgrades are ready at the perfect time, as the restaurants is releasing its new summer menu on June 19th and hosting an indulgent wine dinner on June 24th.

“This is a project that we’ve been dreaming about for years,” says Stephen Hutson, who owns Catch 27 along with his wife, Lindsey. “We had a vision for how we could use the second floor, which to this point had been underutilized. We also wanted to refresh the patio, which is such a quintessentially St. Augustine spot. We’re so pleased with the results. The renovation more than doubled our seating capacity and added a really great events space, while retaining the intimate and welcoming vibe we’re known for.”

Catch 27’s seasonal summer menu, available beginning June 19th, remains true to the restaurant’s ethos of fresh catch, showcasing fish and seafood caught by local fishermen and fisherwomen, as well as produce straight from the fields of the 27th state. The summer menu is a mix of new dishes and classic favorites from Chef Joshua Smith. Longtime Catch 27 fans will be pleased to see the return of the local favorite, Deviled Egg Southern Fried Oyster appetizer, featuring crispy corn-fried oysters, house-made tomato-bacon jam, and local microgreens. A new addition celebrates Florida’s local terrestrial gems; the St. Augustine Egg Roll pairs fish, sausage, and fresh veggies with St. Augustine datil peppers and is served with a Florida citrus gyoza sauce. Landlubbers can savor the Braised Brisket Gnocchi, lightened up by the addition of a fresh cherry tomato espagnole sauce, yellow summer squash, and a bright basil pesto. Catch 27 offers seasonal and unique craft cocktails as well as a boutique wine list from sommelier Nicole Gentempo. Summer is also bringing new Wine Wednesdays. Beginning at 5pm every Wednesday, guests can enjoy half off select appetizers, $3 off select wines, and live music from local legends like Sam Pacetti and Jim Johnston throughout the evening.

For a truly indulgent Catch 27 experience, guests can now purchase tickets for the Monsieur Touton Wine Dinner on Tuesday, June 24th, at 6:30pm. This five-course fine dining experience features an exclusive menu created by Chef Joshua Smith. Sommeliers from Catch 27 and Monsieur Touton, a global authority for premium wine and spirits, have artfully paired a selection of wines with each course and will be on hand to guide diners through the vintages.
