Florida Water Tours Welcomes Spacious New Boat To Its Fleet
ST. AUGUSTINE, Florida (July 10, 2025) – Summer is about to get so much more fun with an addition to Florida Water Tours’ fleet of vessels. The Great Blue Heron has arrived at Windward at Camachee Cove Yacht Harbor, just in time for a season of ecoadventure. It joins sister ships Island Breeze and Osprey. The boat is named in honor of the statuesque wading heron with its subtle grey and blue plumage, which passengers frequently see stalking the salt marshes with slow, surveying steps.
“We’re so excited to bring Great Blue Heron to St. Augustine,” says owner Jessica Jadick. “While we love our other two boats, we were able to customize this vessel to our needs. With almost ten years of business under our belts, we knew exactly what we wanted. We have added elements that will enhance our offerings: a spacious, U-shaped bar, ample seating, and a large, partially covered deck that’s perfect for dolphin watching or lounging with family and friends.”
The Great Blue Heron is a U.S. Coast Guard-inspected 47-foot catamaran that can comfortably accommodate 49 passengers and crew. It was built by Cooper Marine of St. Petersburg, Florida. The boat boasts a spacious outdoor deck perfect for taking in panoramic views, a large cabin area that can be open-air or weather-protected, a state-of-the-art sound system to handle custom playlists, a large central bar for food and beverage service, and a convenient and comfortable onboard restroom. It carries all necessary safety equipment.
Florida Water Tours will offer two cruises on the Great Blue Heron this summer. Passengers can book the 90-minute Dolphin Sunset Cruise on Saturday evenings, where guests can spot dolphins, take in the sights and sounds of St. Augustine, and learn about the area and wildlife from expert guides. The Reggae Sunset Cruise, held on Sunday evenings, is a 90-minute sightseeing cruise featuring DJ Raggamuffin spinning reggae favorites for the whole family. Tours on the Great Blue Heron are best enjoyed by children ages five and older. As a special grand opening promotion, drinks on board the Great Blue Heron will be complimentary until Labor Day 2025. Great Blue Heron is also available for private charters. With plenty of room to eat, drink, socialize, and dance, it’s the perfect venue for any intimate event, from weddings to team building. Stay tuned for more cruise options coming soon.
