La Casa Studios Welcomes Exhibit by Oceanic Photographer Kevin Dodge

ST. AUGUSTINE, Florida (December 26, 2025) – La Casa Studios is pleased to welcome a new exhibit by American underwater and oceanic photographer Kevin Dodge. Located at 33 King Street in downtown St. Augustine, on the historic Plaza de la Constitución, La Casa Studios is a creative hub for the visual, audio, and digital arts. The space’s art gallery hosts six exhibits per year, featuring nationally-renowned artists. “Two Worlds,” Dodge’s exploration of the confluence of the land and sea, will open during First Friday Art Walk on Friday, January 2, 2026. The public is welcome to explore Dodge’s works and meet the artist in person.

“I’m thrilled to be part of bringing Kevin’s work to St. Augustine,” says Gary McGeddy, co-owner of La Cas Studios. “His photographs are immersive, capturing your attention and bringing the viewer into his world. They are really going to transform the gallery at La Casa Studios into something otherworldly. We’re so honored that Kevin will be joining us for the opening.”

A native Floridian, Kevin Dodge is a third-generation South Miamian, born and raised free diving and spearfishing off the waters of Miami and the Florida Keys. His dad started taking Dodge out on the water with him when he was still in diapers, instilling in his son a love and appreciation for the sea. Dodge’s early career as a professional model allowed him to travel the world, providing him with a global perspective. His introduction to photography was a happy chance, filling in for a sick friend and taking test shots of his brother. The same friend sold him a used Nikon F3 and a 180mm ED lens for $1,000, and Dodge quickly moved from in front of the lens to behind it. He would spend the next 20 years working as a successful commercial and stock photographer. As the industry changed, Dodge took the chance to reinvent himself, merging his talents as a photographer and waterman. “I saw people doing underwater photography of game fish, and I thought, ‘I can do that,’” says Kevin Dodge. “I was already a great swimmer and experienced photographer. I knew I could take this to a level that no one else had ever seen.” The result is a collection of work that Dodge calls time machines, perfect moments frozen in time. His goal is to allow the viewer to become immersed in his two worlds, the inhale and exhale of the land and sea.

“Two Worlds” opens on Friday, January 2nd, 2026, at La Casa Studios, located at 33 King Street in St. Augustine, with a welcoming celebration from 5pm to 9pm during First Friday Artwalk. Photographer Kevin Dodge will be in attendance to speak on his work and experiences. Originals and prints will be available for viewing and acquisition. Live music by Jonathan Dodson, light bites, and cocktails will be provided.
