Photographer Jackie Hird Releases 2027 St. Augustine Calendar

ST. AUGUSTINE, Florida (Nov. 5, 2026) – St. Augustine-based photographer and artist Jackie Hird has released the 12th edition of her Views of St. Augustine wall calendar. What began as a client request in 2015 has grown into a beloved local tradition. Hird’s 2027 calendar features some of her favorite photographs of local landmarks, architecture, and natural scenery, drawn from more than a decade of photographing the Nation’s Oldest City.

“I live, eat, and breathe St. Augustine,” says Hird. “Even after all these years, I still discover beauty in places I've passed hundreds of times. The buildings may stay the same, but the light and atmosphere are always changing. I love capturing the story in images and connecting the community to our city and each other.”

Hird has worked as a professional photographer since 2004, but her passion began in her childhood home in Yorkshire, England, when she picked up an old family Kodak Brownie camera. She moved to St. Augustine in 1988 and has remained inspired by the historic architecture, waterfront views, now-familiar streets, and ever-changing light. While the Views of St. Augustine calendar features a collection of Hird’s favorite landscape photographs, she also specializes in portraits that celebrate the unique personalities of families, pets, and children, including senior portraits.

Hird’s yearly calendar began as a one-off client request but quickly became a local staple. The idea to include local events grew naturally from her involvement in the St. Augustine community. Friends often asked her the same question: “What's going on this week in St. Augustine?” Already active in the local events scene, Hird realized she could pair her photography with something equally valuable: a resource that helps people discover and experience the events, celebrations, and traditions that make the city so charming and vibrant. She later created the St. Augustine Events Facebook group, which has grown to nearly 28,000 members and offers another way for residents, visitors, and event organizers to discover and share local happenings.

The 2027 Views of St. Augustine wall calendar features thirteen original photographs, one for each month of 2027, plus a bonus December 2026 page. Hird chose the Fountain of Youth Archaeological Park for the calendar cover to celebrate the iconic attraction’s 100-year anniversary under the Fraser family’s ownership. The calendar also includes a comprehensive list of local events, festivals, and holidays, such as West King Wednesday, the Blessing of the Fleet, the Battle of Bloody Mose, and Nights of Lights. The calendar is now available online for $18.95 and through participating local retailers listed at www.staugustinephotographs.com.
