Summertime Means Family Time With Florida Water Tours
ST. AUGUSTINE, Florida (May 22, 2025) – Summertime means rest and recreation. It means spending time outdoors, and most importantly, coming together as a family. On average, kids spend over 7 hours a day in front of screens – that’s 43 percent of their waking hours! It’s more important than ever to encourage exploration of the vast natural world and to foster a connection with the outdoors, especially when it’s done together as a family. Spending quality time and engaging with your children promotes cognitive and social development, betters health and wellness, and sparks self-discovery. At Florida Water Tours, their daily ecotourism cruises take you out on the water for an unforgettable educational marine adventure. Together, learn about conservation while discovering the majestic beauty of St. Augustine's waterways and marine wildlife.
“We truly believe ‘Summertime Means Family Time,’” shares Jessica Jadick, founder of Florida Water Tours. “As a family-run business and a mom, I know the importance of spending time together outside of the hustle of everyday life. Seeing your children take in the wildlife is such a special experience.”
Florida Water Tours’ eco tours aren’t just a sightseeing cruise, but a hands-on educational excursion. Guides are personable and knowledgeable marine experts, teaching cruisers all about the wildlife they encounter in the St. Augustine waterways. The Dolphin and Wildlife Adventure is an unforgettable, 90-minute bestseller for a reason, cruising through wetlands and coastal marshes to find an ecosystem teaming with wildlife. You’ll see dolphins, birds, manatees, and turtles! Exhilarating and thrilling, cruises are offered from 9am to 5:30pm, every day but Tuesday. The Marine Field Experience offers you and your family a chance to live the dream of being a marine biologist for the day. Test water quality, look at plankton through a microscope, and log sightings of dolphins, manatees, and other wildlife. Offered select Sundays, June 22nd & 29th and July 13th & 27th at 10:30am, it will give you an experience on the water you’ll not forget. Moonlit Mysteries begins at sunset, cruising across Matanzas Bay to downtown's historic bayfront using ancient navigation. The crew will narrate special celestial events, like shooting stars, full moons, and planet alignments, and share the haunted tales of the oldest city. This night-time cruise is offered most Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays at 9:30pm. Private Charters offer you something totally unique, where you and your family can come together for an occasion all your own.
