Terra & Acqua Brings Tuscan Cuisine to St. Augustine Beach
LOCATION, Florida (October 23, 2025) – Chef and Owner Simone Parisi is celebrating the 10th Anniversary of his Italian eatery, Terra & Acqua, by refreshing the interior of his St. Augustine Beach restaurant, creating a new lunch menu, and reintroducing his authentic Tuscan cuisine to the community. Chef Parisi, a native of Florence, Italy, has been serving homemade pasta, locally-sourced seafood and meats, wood-fired pizzas, and robust Italian wines in the Sea Grove neighborhood since relocating to St. Augustine Beach in 2015. And he brought with him a desire to share the fresh coastal fare of his homeland.
“When people think of Italian food in America, they think of these heavy pasta dishes and pizzas loaded with sauce and toppings,” says Chef Simone Parisi, Owner of Terra & Acqua. “But where I was born and raised, in Florence, the dishes tend to be light and flavorful, with fresh seafood, sauces made with pure, pressed olive oil, and seasonal vegetables. Our pizzas have a base of fresh tomatoes with carefully selected ingredients. And I made sure to include some comforting classics. It’s all about elevating simple ingredients.”
Chef Simone Parisi was already a celebrated restaurateur in the United States when he moved to St. Augustine. Chef Parisi owned and operated two highly successful concepts in Denver, Colorado: Parisi and Firenze a tavola. He left the mountains for the beaches of St. Augustine, where he had been visiting for several years, and had started to feel like home. The city’s coastal atmosphere, historic architecture, and thriving arts and culture reminded him of Florence. And it was the perfect place to open a new restaurant concept.
Terra & Acqua, as the name suggests, focuses on classic preparations of seafood, meat, and vegetables. To celebrate the restaurant’s 10th year, Chef Parisi has designed a brand-new lunch menu, with fresh preparations of classic pasta dishes and focaccia sandwiches. New pasta dishes include Spaghetti Carbonara, Penne Puttanesca, and Rigatoni Amatriciana. The focaccie sandwiches feature tender and crispy house-made focaccia, with fillings including mortadella, prosciutto Parma, soppressata, pork roast, seared beef tenderloin, and mushrooms. Guests can also explore daily pasta and focaccia specials. Lunch is now offered Monday through Friday, from 11am to 2pm.
