The Floridian Will Open New St. Augustine Beach Location in Early June
ST. AUGUSTINE, Florida (May 21, 2026) – The moment Northeast Florida has been waiting for is here. The Floridian, known by locals and visitors alike for its Florida-fresh, farm-to-fork cuisine, is welcoming guests at its new St. Augustine Beach location at SR 312 and A1A in early June, with an exact date to be announced soon. The Floridian’s spacious new home brings back the restaurant’s beloved flavors in a relaxed atmosphere that retains its signature Florida-funky style, with expanded indoor and outdoor seating, community gathering areas, and ample, free parking. The new Floridian is located at 485 Old Beach Rd.
“We have strong connections and memories associated with our previous locations,” say Chef Genie and Jeff McNally, co-owners of The Floridian. “While honoring this past, however, we are looking towards the future, the next chapter, where we’ll continue to focus on what matters – fresh ingredients, good food, welcoming hospitality, and all the humans who share in that exchange. We would not be where we are today without the support of our locals, regulars, dedicated and hard-working staff, and the farmers, growers, vendors, and makers we have had the privilege to work with along the way.”
The Floridian originally opened on Cordova Street in 2010, then purchased and relocated to a 19th-century building in 2015. The McNallys sold their downtown space in the summer of 2025 and began construction on their dream space on St. Augustine Beach. The new space on Old Beach Road is a 4,000-square-foot custom-designed restaurant. Expect an Old Florida coastal cottage vibe, thoughtfully designed interiors, wraparound porch decks with outdoor dining tables, garden space among the palmettos and live oaks, a full bar, plenty of parking, and all the familiar, fun, casual, and comfortable details.
The new restaurant features 120 seats, with indoor and outdoor seating. The McNallys created expanded event spaces, with a private room for up to 30 guests, semi-private areas for up to 50 guests, an outdoor courtyard for up to 50 guests, and complete rentals for up to 120 guests. Chef Genie is most excited about the modern kitchen, with a spacious and efficient layout that will allow her and her team to do what they’ve always done, but better and cooler. The new outdoor courtyard area is envisioned as a community space for relaxed dining. It will have several full-service tables, a group of first-come, first-served tables, and a quick order bar window.
The Floridian team will continue to operate its sister restaurant, Bea’s Fine Foods, but will switch to lunch only beginning June 3. Located at 9 Anastasia Blvd., Bea’s serves fresh and inventive brunch items, pizza, small plates, espresso, and natural wine. The new hours will be Wednesday through Sunday, open 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
