The International Open is Bringing Pool Legends to St. Augustine
ST. AUGUSTINE, Florida (November 6, 2025) – Coming back to St. Augustine for the second year in a row is The 2025 International Open, a professional billiards tournament where the world’s best players come to the World Golf Village Renaissance St. Augustine Resort to compete for this year’s titles. Presented by Pat Fleming, a Billiard Congress of America Hall of Famer, this year’s tournament will kick off Friday, November 14, at 11am, with contests continuing all day and evening, through to Sunday, November 23. The professional billiards tournament offers numerous opportunities for both new and long-time fans to witness the very best in billiards. And this year, the tournament is welcoming some very special guests to join its ranks.
“This year, we’re really excited for folks to come and see the action live in person with headsets available to hear commentary from some of the most famous personalities in billiards,” says Pat Fleming, Director of the International Open. One of those personalities is Jeanette Lee, famously known as The Black Widow. Lee is a titan in the industry, ranked as the number one female pool player in the world during the 1990s and a winner of numerous world titles in multiple disciplines. Although Lee has taken time off from competitive playing due to health concerns, she continues to offer expert commentary and make appearances nationwide as the national spokesperson for the American Poolplayers Association (APA). However, she is looking forward to taking on challenge matches at this event as her health permits. “We’re thrilled to have Jeanette play in our Hall of Fame Exhibition Match and be in the sound booth doing commentary,” shares Fleming. The tournament also features match-dominating professionals, including the number one player in the world, Fedor ‘The Ghost’ Gorst; the world’s biggest money winner, Shane Van Boening; local Florida pros Tommy Kennedy from North Port and Donny Mills from Largo, both playing in the pro 9-ball division; 97-year-old pool legend Don ‘The Preacher’ Feeney from The Villages, playing in the 14.1 straight pool division; and 24 of the best junior players in the nation.
The International Open will feature 10-Ball, November 14-17; Straight Pool, formerly known as Peter Burrow’s American 14.1 Straight Pool Championship, November 14-18; the One-Pocket Tournament, November 14-19; the Semi-Pro 9-Ball, November 18-22; Pro 9-Ball, November 19-23; and the Junior 9-Ball Finals on November 23, featuring the finest up-and-coming junior players.
