The Spice & Tea Exchange® of Patchogue Celebrates Grand Opening
PATCHOGUE, New York (April 26, 2025)—The seaside village of Patchogue is getting a little spicier, thanks to a new The Spice & Tea Exchange® of Patchogue, which opened on April 18, 2025. This gourmet shop is situated on the corner of West Main Street and Railroad Avenue, conveniently located just a short distance from the train and ferry. It offers a wide range of spices, herbs, aromatics, blends, teas, accessories, and more. Owners Bill and Dorine McGloine will celebrate a Grand Opening on Friday, May 16th, through Sunday, May 18th, at 90 West Main Street in Patchogue. This is the couple’s second shop under The Spice & Tea Exchange®; they are also the proud owners of The Spice & Tea Exchange® of Port Jefferson.
“The Spice & Tea Exchange® brings together our two strengths – Bill’s business acumen and my passion for health,” says Dorine McGloine, co-owner of The Spice & Tea Exchange® of Patchogue. “I’m a registered nurse, and once my son entered serious sports competition, wrestling in the NCAA, my interest in sports nutrition grew. I have my Master’s degree in Nutrition, and I love working with our customers to create bundles that help them on their wellness journeys. Spices, herbs, aromatics, and tea are a great way to add flavor and beneficial antioxidants.”
The McGloines are taking a community-first approach with the store. They carry local favorites, like honey from Spy Coast Honey, and create custom, ready-to-use bundles of The Spice & Tea Exchange® products. The Fire Island Rocket Fuel Bundle captures the essence of the famous local drink, using two teas and the Toasted Coconut Sugar. Bill and Dorine always offer free tea samples and delicious bites to their guests, creating a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. The store is a sensorial dream, where jars are designed to be opened and sniffed. The staff hand-blends a wide range of traditional and signature blends in-store daily, including fun seasonal blends. Customers can also explore shelves of infused sugars, honey, olive oils, maple syrup, and over 80 of the freshest teas made with unique, high-quality leaves and aromatics.
The Grand Opening is Friday, May 16, through Sunday, May 18, during regular store hours. The event features tea and food samples throughout the weekend, a free gift for every $50 purchase, as well as:
Friday, May 16: 15% off all teas
Saturday, May 17: 15% off all custom spice blends and spices
Sunday, May 18: 15% off salts, peppers, and sweeteners
