Edible Northeast Florida Celebrates Ten Years as the Voice of Local Food

ST. AUGUSTINE, Florida (September 17, 2025)– When Edible Northeast Florida published its first issue in September 2015, it did so with the goal of being the trusted voice for all things food. A decade later, they continue to amplify the work of local culinary and hospitality professionals, farmers, fishers, vintners, distillers, and producers. It’s only natural that Edible Northeast Florida celebrated its past with the contributors, Edible partners, and community members who have been a part of their story. The 10-year anniversary party was hosted on Monday, September 15th, at the newly-launched La Casa Studios, located in historic downtown St. Augustine at 33 King Street. It was the perfect occasion to look back over the stories the food magazine has told.

“From the start, we envisioned a platform that encouraged readers to eat, drink, think, and explore, season by season,” says Lauren Titus, Publisher of Edible Northeast Florida. “We identified four broad categories to include in every issue: agriculture, culinary arts, food policy, and home life. As I worked on the 10th Anniversary issue, I reread all 59 previous issues, and I can confidently say we have stayed true to that mission and vision of a community publication that celebrates, elevates, and supports our local foodways.”

As Edible Northeast Florida enters its second decade, the magazine is pleased to announce a new organizational structure that will enhance its ability to tell the food stories that matter. The magazine’s new Board of Directors is comprised of Lauren Titus, Melissa Schroeder, and Gary McGeddy. Titus will transition from Editor-in-Chief to Publisher, while Michelle Smith will move into the role of Director of Sales. Edible Northeast Florida is pleased to welcome two new team members: longtime contributor Shannon Greene as the new Editor-in-Chief and Florida-based creative leader Kingsley Spencer as the magazine’s first dedicated Art Director.

“Separating the roles of sales and publisher gives us more opportunities to partner with businesses, organizations, and individuals who are leaders in our local food systems,” says Smith. “Our #officialediblepartners will have a dedicated full-time director of sales to help achieve even more of their business goals through the publication's platform.”

Edible Northeast Florida is also thrilled to announce its official partnership with La Casa Studios. This will create another dimension to Edible’s storytelling with the addition of podcast programming, along with some exciting upcoming projects that include video production and events. “Now that roles have shifted to strengthen our support of area businesses, we will be able to expand our capabilities and broaden our coverage to all twelve counties in the region that are included in our license,” says Titus.
