Florida Water Tours Creates New Marine Science Headquarters for Nonprofit
ST. AUGUSTINE, Florida (June 3, 2026) – Florida Water Tours is taking its commitment to providing the best marine science experiences to the next level with its new Florida Water Warriors Headquarters. It will serve as the home for the company’s educational outreach nonprofit, which supports all school-aged children, with a special focus on underprivileged youth. This new facility will allow Florida Water Warriors to strengthen and expand its partnerships with local colleges, schools, conservation organizations, and more.
“While we're excited about the future of our Marine Science Headquarters, our immediate focus is building the support needed to bring these educational opportunities to life," says Jessica Jadick, Founder of Florida Water Tours and Executive Director of Florida Water Warriors. “Through Cruise for a Cause and our sponsorships, local businesses and community members have a chance to directly impact marine science education for children in Northeast Florida. Their support helps fund educational equipment, classroom resources, field experiences, and hands-on programs that inspire students to explore, understand, and protect our coastal environment.”
Florida Water Warriors’ mission is to promote conservation through building a solid foundation of environmental literacy. To date, the nonprofit has reached 6,234 kids and provided $15,102 in financial aid to underserved students. The organization’s flagship vessel, Island Breeze, offers nearly 100 educational trips per year. The new Florida Water Warriors Headquarters will offer a dedicated space for marine science education, with educational centers, microscopes, a reading center, research space, and more.
While the Florida Water Warriors Headquarters hasn’t officially celebrated its grand opening, Educational Director Kristie Corrigan has begun soft-launching programs in partnership with other organizations. Florida Water Warriors is proud to partner with the following organizations: Boys & Girls Clubs of Northeast Florida • Flagler College • Florida School for the Deaf & the Blind • Guana Tolomato Matanzas National Estuarine Research Reserve • Island Prep • Saint Augustine Public Montessori School • St. Johns County Parks & Recreation • St. Johns County School District • St. Johns River State College • local homeschool co-ops
Florida Water Warriors funds its activities through public educational tours. Guests can hop aboard this summer on the Marine Field Experience, offered monthly on select Saturdays. Cruise for a Cause Day, hosted by Florida Water Tours on Saturday, July 18, is a fundraiser in which 100% of proceeds from select cruises, including a VIP Jazz Cruise, are donated directly to Florida Water Warriors. Middle school students can sign up for a special Summer Workshop, offered Friday mornings, July 10-31, where they step into the role of real marine scientists.
