Old Town Trolley Tours Introduces New Interactive Trolley Tracker Map
ST. AUGUSTINE, Florida (April 8, 2026) – St. Augustine’s most trusted “Transportainment®” company has introduced a new tool to help streamline its guests’ experience. Old Town Trolley Tours® has created Trolley Tracker, a live, interactive map that provides riders with the most up-to-date information about its trolleys, including their current positions and estimated arrival times, as well as a stop locator. This allows guests to hit the town with more confidence and to plan their day more accurately.
“We really have our guests to thank for this advancement,” says Ed Swift IV, Vice President of Operations of Historic Tours America®, parent company of Old Town Trolley Tours®. “We are constantly asking our patrons for feedback – it’s the best way to ensure we’re meeting their high standards for safe, fun, and efficient transportation. One of the most frequent requests we received was for a live tracking system similar to Uber and Lyft, which guests have become accustomed to in their daily lives and while traveling. We took that feedback and created a resource that allows our guests to be more in control of their experience.”
The Old Town Trolley Tours’® Trolley Tracker is an interactive map that allows riders to explore trolley routes, stops, and nearby attractions before they arrive and while they're visiting. Guests can click each trolley stop to see when the next trolley arrives and its identification number. It also shows the stop’s first and last trolley arrival times, a photo indicating the best place to wait, and a link to use their native wayfinding app for directions. The Trolley Tracker’s most powerful capability is real-time tracking of all Old Town Trolley Tours’® vehicles. The map shows the position of each vehicle and the routes for both the hop-on, hop-off tour and the Beach Bus, which services Anastasia Island and St. Augustine Beach.
“We’re thrilled to harness the power of technology to create these powerful tools for our guests, but we will never stray from focusing on the human experience,” says Dave Chatterton, General Manager of Old Town Trolley Tours®. “While this tool is extremely helpful, our plan is that it will supplement the already extensive knowledge and experience of our staff. This combination will help our guests make the most of their day.”
Old Town Trolley Tours’® extensive route system has stops at visitor hotspots as well as popular hotels and resorts. This allows guests to park at their lodging and leave their car, saving them time, money, and the stress of navigatingunfamiliar streets. Locally, each Old Town Trolley Tours® trolley takes 20 cars off the road, reducing congestion and environmental impact.
