Delray Beach Gets Spicy With New The Spice & Tea Exchange® Store
DELRAY BEACH, Florida (April 2, 2026)—Florida’s Village by the Sea has a brand new hub for living a flavorful and healthy lifestyle, thanks to a new The Spice & Tea Exchange® of Delray Beach, which opened on December 12, 2025. The shop is situated on the popular East Atlantic Avenue, right in the heart of downtown. The Spice & Tea Exchange® of Delray Beach offers a wide range of spices, herbs, salts, blends, teas, accessories, and more. The family-owned and operated store will celebrate a Grand Opening on Friday, April 24, through Sunday, April 26, at 520 East Atlantic Ave. in Delray Beach.
“Picking the location was our biggest hurdle, but once we laid eyes on the East Atlantic Avenue space, we knew we just had to have it,” says Joey Nachio, who owns and operates The Spice & Tea Exchange® of Delray Beach with his family, Diana, Joseph, and Joanne. “We worked with Castle Florida to rebuild the entire store, and really bring new life to the space. We went so far as to completely replace the ductwork and HVAC system, so there wouldn’t be any negative impact to our products. This is an amazing area, and we really wanted to invest in providing a great store for the community.”
The Nachios are the perfect family to open a Spice & Tea store. Joey Nachio sharpened his customer service chops across multiple careers in both hemispheres, managing banking branches in the United States and Central America, stockbrokering, mortgage brokering, and serving as a general manager at car dealerships. He and his wife discovered The Spice & Tea Exchange® 17 years ago, while visiting his daughter, son, and soon-to-be son-in-law at Notre Dame. During their long drives, the couple would stop at stores in St. Augustine and Asheville to stock up on products. His son and the store’s General Manager, Joseph, is a huge cooking buff with a super palate that lets him taste and smell beyond the normal range. He loves creating inventive culinary experiences, inspired by chefs like Alton Brown. The Nachio family uses the brand’s sensorial ethos to showcase how the staff precisely grind, weigh, and handmix chef-created blends. Customers are drawn by the stores’ exotic smells and jars of product designed to be opened. The staff hand-blends a wide range of traditional and signature blends in-store daily. Customers can also explore shelves of infused sugars, salts, honey, olive oils, maple syrup, and over 87 of the freshest teas made with high-quality leaves and aromatics, including Joey’s favorite Banana Nut Muffin Tea – it’s right on his nametag!
The Grand Opening is Friday, April 24, through Sunday, April 26, during regular store hours, and is open to the public. The store will offer free samples, special promotions, gift basket raffles, and deals during the weekend.
